New Ticket Buying Method For GlastonburyGlastonbury have introduced a new way to buy tickets for their 2007 festival. If you want to buy a ticket on 1st April, you will need to register first, from 8am on February 1st, and provide a photo of yourself.
You can register online
here or by post. Postal application forms can be picked up from any branch of Millets, the high street camping store, or you can download a form from
here.
Each applicant will then receive a registration number, which will need to be quoted when tickets go on sale on 1st April.
If successful, the buyer will be sent a ticket, with their scanned photo and a unique ID number included on it, to the address on their envelope.
Although only one person can register per form, individuals can buy a ticket for themselves plus one other person, as long as they both have registration numbers. Family members can buy up to two tickets for adults and two for children aged between 13 and 16.
Michael Eavis commented:
"It's a fairer system. It means people won't be able to sell their tickets for £700. We're winning the war. The people who buy tickets on 1 April will actually be those coming to the festival."
Hot Chip & Lily Allen for GlastoHot Chip and
Lily Allen have both been added to the
Glastonbury line up.
Speaking to BBC 6music at the
Big Day Out festival in Australia,
Lily revealed:
"You can expect to see me there [at Glastonbury], I'm supposedly playing."With
Hot Chip's
Joe Goddard later adding:
"I don't know where or when, what stage or whatever. I can't wait for it!"

Muse Plan Seaside Tour?Muse have hinted they may plan a seaside resort tour for their next UK headline jaunt.
Speaking to
XFM, frontman
Matt Bellamy said:
"Well, at the moment we’re doing a tour of Europe. And the end of the year and playing a few Wembleys or something, but we’re thinking of saving something a bit more interesting for next year, in terms of playing outdoors, or something.
We were talking of doing a tour of beaches, maybe, because we’re kind of from the seaside. We like the idea of doing a tour of seaside resorts around the UK. But maybe we’ll save that for next summer."
